Job Information

The Visitor Services Intern is responsible for assisting the Curator of Heritage Education and Public programs at the Prince of Wales Northern Heritage Centre (PWNHC). The position provides administrative assistance, visitor information and assists with cultural learning in the delivery of museum public and education programs.

This position is located at the Prince of Wales Northern Heritage Centre in Yellowknife and reports to the Curator of Heritage Education and Public Programs. The incumbent provides reception and visitor services Information, assists with public tours, heritage programs and coordination of travelling exhibits and educational resources throughout the NWT.  Services offered by the incumbent directly impact public experience at the PWNHC.

Typically, the above qualifications would be attained by degree or diploma in Communications, Tourism, Administration or related field.

Salary Information

The salary for this position starts at $28.97 per hour (approximately $56,492 per annum) plus an annual Northern Allowance of $3,450.
