The Department of Health and Social Services works under the direction of the Minister and Deputy Minister, in partnership with the Health and Social Services Authorities, to support the health and wellbeing of people across the NWT through planning, development, evaluation and reporting on program and service delivery.

Job Information

Located in headquarters this position will report to the Director of Corporate Planning, Reporting and Evaluation (CPRE). The CPRE Division is responsible for researching, collecting, analyzing and interpreting data and information, and is also responsible for writing, editing and producing reports in support of the HSS system strategic and business planning functions.
In collaboration with the Director, and Divisional staff, the Risk and Performance Analyst assists in the development and implementation of the NWT Health and Social Services Enterprise Risk Management Program.

The Risk and Performance Analyst assists in the management of system-wide risk management functions which involves helping to establish policies, practices and other control mechanisms to manage risks. This individual also assists in program evaluations and performance measurement and reporting functions.

The Risk and Performance Analyst assists in the development and implementation of an Enterprise Risk Management Program for the Department of Health and Social Services, the establishment of an ongoing evaluation process and the regular measurement of the performance of the health and social services system to ensure its effectiveness and efficiency, and result-oriented reports on achievement and progress across the health and social services system.

Typically, the above qualifications would be attained by:
The attainment of a university degree in a health and/or social sciences related field.
