About the Job

The JK – 6 Curriculum Coordinator is a key member of a dedicated leadership team at the regional / district level. This coordinator provides professional development support and curriculum implementation leadership for Tlicho schools, ensuring that the vision and goals of the Agency are followed and met.
The ideal applicant will be an educator with a broad cross-cultural experience at a variety of levels in the school system, and a strong commitment to community, students and a cross-cultural team environment. The successful candidate will demonstrate effective leadership experience within the JK-12 school system as well as a solution-oriented approach to challenging situations.
Strengths in differentiated instruction, in assessment as/for/of learning, and a commitment to the Inclusive Schooling philosophy of the NWT are necessary. The incumbent will manage, analyze, develop presentations and facilitate programming decisions based on data.
Typically the above qualifications would be attained by a Master of Education in Early Childhood, Curriculum and Literacy.
Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
The salary range for this position is from approximately $82,562 - $128,166 plus an annual Northern Allowance of $4,862.

- Priority 7: Teachers who are not residents of the NWT and who are not included in Priorities.
