Job Information

Under the supervision of the Regional Supervisor, Dietary Services, the Relief Dietary Aide assists in food preparation, cafeteria and patient meal service and maintenance of high standards of sanitation and safety in the food service department. The NTHSSA – Fort Smith Region is responsible for the effective delivery of Primary and Emergent Health Care and Social Services to approximately 2,500 residents of Fort Smith and surrounding area. The Regional Facilities include one Type C Health Facility and a 28 Bed Long Term Care Facility.
Typically, the above qualifications would be attained by a high school diploma or equivalency (GED) and one year experience in the food service field.

Relief Worker

This job opening is for a Relief position where there are no established hours of work on a daily, weekly or monthly basis and may be required to report to work on an as and when required basis for facilities where services operate on a daily basis throughout the entire year.


Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.

Salary Information

The salary for this position starts at $24.04 per hour (approximately $46,878. per annum) plus an annual Northern Allowance of $6,180.
