Job Information

Reporting directly to the Nurse in Charge, Home Care Services, the incumbent provides culturally sensitive respite and ADL care to clients of the Homecare Program. Designated rehabilitation and nursing functions are provided only under the direction of nurse/physician/traditional healer/physiotherapist or occupational therapist.
Clients of the Homecare Program are usually individuals who require on-going care that can be provided in their homes. These clients include but are not limited to long-term convalescent, geriatric, post-partum, surgical or medical patients and individuals with chronic disabling conditions, who live in their home and require scheduled treatment care and / or support.
Typically, the above qualifications would be attained by:
Completion of a Personal Support Worker program or equivalent and six months experience in Home support.

This job opening is for a 6 Month Term Position

Immunization Status

The successful candidate will be required to obtain proof of current up-to-date immunization status.


Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.

Salary Information

The salary for this position starts at $32.39 per hour  plus an annual Northern Allowance of $11.92 per hour
