Clinic Administrative Supervisor
Northwest Territories Health and Social Services Authority – Yellowknife Region (NTHSSA) is one of eight health and social services authorities established by the Department of Health and Social Services in the Government of the Northwest Territories.
NTHSSA – Yellowknife Region delivers and administers Population Health, Primary Health Care and Social Services programs in the communities of Dettah, Fort Resolution, Lutselk’e, Ndilo and Yellowknife.

The Clinic Administrative Supervisor reports directly to the Nurse in Charge – Frame Lake and will take leadership in ensuring all administrative areas are functioning effectively and efficiently. These responsibilities include the direct supervision of 5 Clinic Assistants (CAs), facilitating all administrative support services to a complement of 28 other health and social services personnel and as a team leader is responsible for the day-to-day administrative functions for the clinics. This position handles a variety of administrative situations within established policies and procedures and with general guidance from the Nurse in Charge.
The Clinic Administrative Supervisor is called upon to make clerical and administrative decisions, including signing and purchasing authority in accordance with the Financial Administration Manual (FAM), in the absence of the Nurse in Charge. The incumbent needs a sound understanding of the complexity of the primary health care system and keep abreast of the operational direction within the organization.
Typically, the above qualifications would be attained by:
Ability to read and write at a Grade Twelve level plus at least three year office administration experience in a fast paced environment.

The salary range for this position is from $33.55 per hour to $40.06 per hour (approximately $65,422 to $78,117.) plus an annual Northern Allowance of $3,700.
