Territorial Specialist, Primary Care
Northwest Territories Health and Social Services Authority – Yellowknife Region (NTHSSA) is one of eight health and social services authorities established by the Department of Health and Social Services in the Government of the Northwest Territories.
NTHSSA – Yellowknife Region delivers and administers Population Health, Primary Health Care and Social Services programs in the communities of Dettah, Fort Resolution, Lutselk’e, Ndilo and Yellowknife.

The Territorial Specialist, Primary Care is responsible to research and recommend patient care quality standards as they relate to the primary care services provided to all age groups ranging from neonate to geriatrics. The incumbent will foster and sustain academic partnerships to advance professional practices and develop the work force as a territorial lead. The Territorial Specialist, Primary Care will role-model vigilance in ensuring the highest of quality care.
Reporting directly to the Territorial Manager, Primary Care, the incumbent will be called upon to address a variety of issues on a daily basis, including but not limited to, addressing client's complaints, providing briefing notes to the Director of Health Services, providing advice and direction to other Territorial Leads and Specialists, Regional Managers, and representing the NTHSSA in meetings or conferences.

The above knowledge and skills are most commonly acquired through a Baccalaureate in Nursing plus ten (10) years recent experience of a clinical health care setting. Eligible for registration with RNANTU.

The salary range for this position is from $50.95 per hour to $60.85 per hour (approximately $99,353 - $118,658 plus an annual Northern Allowance of $3.700.
