The Department of Infrastructure (INF) provides high quality services to the public and Government of the Northwest Territories’ (GNWT) departments, boards and agencies including the planning, design, construction, acquisition, operation and maintenance of public transportation infrastructure and the buildings, works and equipment required for the GNWT to deliver its programs and services. INF makes essential petroleum products available for sale to the public where these products are not provided by the private sector, and promotes the development and increased use of energy efficient technologies.  INF also regulates electrical and mechanical safety services and licenses individuals and vehicles operating in the territory.

Job Information

As the Senior Coordinator Low Carbon Economy Fund you will be responsible for the overall coordination and administration of the Government of the Northwest Territories' (GNWT) four year $70 million Low Carbon Economy Leadership Fund (LCELF) grant program. You will oversee the application based LCELF grant program process and will also be responsible for tracking, documenting and reporting on the GNWT LCELF program internally to decision makers, as well as to ensure public reporting and communication is undertaken.

You will have knowledge in contract and contribution agreement management, and skills in business writing for effective communication and will be skilled in developing and/or evaluating grant applications utilizing established criteria.

Typically, the above qualifications would be attained by:

Post-secondary diploma in Business Administration or other relevant field relating to grant program management, and three years of relevant government and/or private industry experience.

Degree in a relevant field such as business or engineering and at least one (1) year of relevant experience.

Salary Information

The salary range for this position is from $42.45 per hour to $50.71 per hour (approximately $82,777.50 - $98,884.50) plus an annual Northern Allowance of $3,700.
