This job opening is limited to residents living within 25 kilometres of Whati & Gameti.

Job Information

Located in Whati & Gameti and reporting to the Regional Home and Community Care Coordinator and Nurse in Charge, the incumbent is responsible for providing culturally sensitive daily home management support to clients of the Homecare program in Whati & Gameti. The Regional Home and Community Care Coordinator and Nurse in Charge will identify the clients for homemaker support. Generally, the Homemaker will visit the clients independently.

The Homemaker has the opportunity to develop relationships with the clients of the Home Care Program. The Homemaker is expected to demonstrate compassionate care to the client, family and other members of the health care team.

Typically. the above qualifications would be attained by:
Grade 10 with one (1) year of experience working with Elders.

Relief Worker

This job opening is for a Relief position where there are no established hours of work on a daily, weekly or monthly basis and may be required to report to work on an as and when required basis for facilities where services operate on a daily basis throughout the entire year.

Driver's License Requirement

A mandatory requirement for this position is a valid Class 5 Driver's License.

Immunization Status

The successful candidate will be required to obtain proof of current up-to-date immunization status.

Equivalencies

Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.

Salary Information

The salary range for this position is from $28.69 per hour to $34.29 per hour (approximately $55,946 to $66,866.) plus an annual Northern Allowance of $16,752 for Whati and $15,395 for Gameti.
