Regional Superintendent North Slave - Amended
The Department of Education, Culture and Employment (ECE) provides the residents of the Northwest Territories with access to quality programs, services and support to assist them in making informed and productive choices for themselves and their families with regard to education, training, careers, employment and labour, child development, languages, culture and heritage.
Reporting to the Assistant Deputy Minister, Labour and Income Security, the Regional Superintendent directs the planning, delivery and management of a broad range of employment, social, and educational programs and services for its clients through the Education, Culture and Employment Service Centres and community offices. The programs and services provided include Income Security, Career Development, Apprenticeship and Early Learning and Child Care.
The Incumbent is responsible for ensuring that high quality programs and services are delivered in an effective, efficient and financially accountable manner that supports the Department's and the Legislative Assembly's priorities and mandate. This position provides leadership to the region and to the department as a member of the Executive Management Committee.
Typically, the qualifications would be attained by a Bachelor Degree in Social Sciences, Public Administration or a related field; five years of management experience in a program delivery environment, which includes planning and development, team management, leadership, communication, supervision and financial management; and one year of experience in the development of policy and/or programs.

The salary range for this position is from $61.96 per hour to $88.51 per hour (approximately $120, 822 to $172, 595 per annum) plus an annual Northern Allowance of $3,700.
