Relief Licensed Practical Nurse, Primary Care

The Relief Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Primary Care is responsible for providing multifaceted nursing care to clients of the Yellowknife Primary Care Clinic(s) in accordance with established standards of nursing practice and the philosophy and objectives of the Northwest Territories Health and Social Services Authority to ensure residents have access to timely, professional and sustainable health services required to maintain optimal health. A Licensed Practical Nursing Program, including Medication Administration and participation in continuing education as it pertains to the profession;
Typically, the above qualifications would be attained by:
Experience working in an interdisciplinary model; two (2) years of experience in areas such as acute care/hospital setting, public health, and medical office/family practice is an asset.

This job opening is for a Relief position where there are no established hours of work on a daily, weekly or monthly basis and may be required to report to work on an as and when required basis for facilities where services operate on a daily basis throughout the entire year.
