Job Information
Under the direction of the Residence Coordinator and in cooperation with the Student Services Division, the Residence Life Supervisor (RLS) is responsible for the security of all Thebacha Campus students and families, employees, visitors and property. This includes ensuring a safe and secure environment that is conducive to the personal development and study requirements of student residents. The RLS is expected to maintain and ensure that policies and procedures are followed in the safety, security, and operation of college facilities.
The Residence Life Supervisor will have a sound knowledge of the principles, practices and operation of student residence facilities, they will also be able to assess and develop service delivery options. The RSL will have the ability to work with students from diverse cultural and language backgrounds and have demonstrated compassion and empathy for students. They will possess strong written and verbal skills, and strong research skills, and have a working knowledge of computer programs, email and Microsoft Office programs.
This type of knowledge would normally be acquired by the completion of a diploma or certificate program pertaining to security services and two years’ experience working in a security setting. As well, the incumbent must have a GED and/or High School Diploma. Additional requirements include a satisfactory criminal records check, a valid class 4 driver’s license, current Standard First Aid and CPR-C, and WHMIS.

This Job opening is for a Part-time position for weekend (Saturday, Sunday-16 hours/week) day shift only.
