Revenue & Collections Officer
The Department of Infrastructure (INF) provides high quality services to the public and Government of the Northwest Territories’ (GNWT) departments, boards and agencies including the planning, design, construction, acquisition, operation and maintenance of public transportation infrastructure and the buildings, works and equipment required for the GNWT to deliver its programs and services. INF makes essential petroleum products available for sale to the public where these products are not provided by the private sector, and promotes the development and increased use of energy efficient technologies. INF also regulates electrical and mechanical safety services and licenses individuals and vehicles operating in the territory.

Located in Fort Simpson and reporting to the Senior Revenue and Collections Officer (SRCO), the Revenue and Collections Officer (RCO) performs daily revenue and cash collection functions including the accurate preparation and timely distribution of customer invoices to ensure that Fuel Services Division (FSD) can convert its accounts receivables into cash.
• Accounts receivable, accounts payable, bookkeeping fundamentals.
• Fund accounting; generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Computer competency; Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook; ENERGY - Fuel Management System, Operating Systems.
• Credit administration and accounts collection.
• Document and records management.
Typically, the above qualifications would be attained by:
• Completion of a Diploma in Business Administration, or
• Level 1 of an accounting designation program, e.g. CA or CMA, or
• Grade 12 (or equivalency) and two year of Accounts Receivable based revenue and collections experience.

The salary range for this position is from $34.39 per hour to $41.07 per hour (approximately $67,061 - $80,087.) plus an annual Northern Allowance of $12,723.
