Labour Market Supplement - Recruitment and Retention - Nurse, Nurse Practitioner and Midwifery Positions - Yellowknife
A recruitment and retention supplement will be offered to front line Nurse, Nurse Practitioner and Midwifery positions within the Northwest Territories Health and Social Services Authority. The successful incumbent will receive a $5000 supplement upon hire and an additional $5000 supplement after completion of 12 months of continuous employment contingent on remaining employed in an eligible position for a further 12 months. This is a taxable benefit and will be subject to applicable deductions.

You will be responsible for providing leadership and expertise in coordinating the care for patients who are seeking tobacco cessation support in the Yellowknife Region. The Tobacco Cessation Pilot Clinic at Northwest Territories Health and Social Services Authority (NTHSSA) is a tobacco cessation referral center for a culturally diverse population of the Northwest Territories, Yellowknife Region. You will determine the nursing management, education programming, resources and teaching methods required to treat individuals seeking tobacco cessation support. Self-management is a core value of the program, you will work with clients to achieve self-management of their own health and well-being.
