Calling all Social Workers! We are seeking dedicated professionals with a passion for providing exceptional care to join our team.
In this role you will be responsible for the effective and efficient delivery of the Child and Family services programs. You will provide leadership and consultation to staff and community members. While consulting with your supervisor/manager on a regular basis, you will be responsible for intake and investigation, voluntary services, support services, family preservation and family re-unification, permanency planning, court procedures, child placements, as well as after-hours emergency services. You will be collaborating with RCMP, Mental Health, Health Services, Income Assistance, local Indigenous groups, along with other stakeholders to provide and strengthen community supports. You will play a key role in planning, consulting, developing, making referrals and coordinating activities relevant to case plans related to prevention, protection, permanency, placement and family reunification. You will be required to participate in the Family Court processes as necessary which would include preparing documents related to Child and Family Service cases such as drafting affidavits and presenting information in court. You will play a role in the foster care program helping with recruitment, and support for children with a wide range of special needs.
Typically, the above qualifications would be attained by a Diploma in Social work with a minimum of two (2) years of direct practice in the field of Child and Family Services, OR a Bachelor¿s in Social Work.

Labour Market Supplement
The successful incumbent will receive a $10,000 supplement upon hire and an additional $10,000 supplement after completion of 12 months of continuous employment contingent on remaining employed in an eligible position for a further 12 months. This is a taxable benefit and will be subject to applicable deductions

The salary range for this position is from $50.85 per hour to $60.73 per hour (approximately $99,158 - $118,424.) plus an annual Northern Allowance of $3,700
