Typically, the above qualifications would be attained by: 
A BScN with at least 2 years of recent, acute care nursing experience in a medical, surgical, or in a home care or community health environment. OR 
A completion of nursing diploma with at least 4 years of recent, acute care nursing experience in a medical, surgical, or in a home care or community health environment.

Labour Market Supplement

The successful incumbent will receive a $10,000 supplement upon hire and an additional $10,000 supplement after completion of 12 months of continuous employment contingent on remaining employed in an eligible position for a further 12 months.   This is a taxable benefit and will be subject to applicable deductions

Registrations

Eligible for current registration/certification with the college and association of nurses of the Northwest Territories and Nunavut is mandatory for this position.
