About the Position:
The Territorial Manager, Midwifery leads the implementation and management of the territorial midwifery program, to help ensure the quality and consistency of culturally safe, relationship-based midwifery care that contributes to optimal maternal / child-health outcomes in the Northwest Territories. As a territorial midwifery practice leader, the incumbent will provide clinical practice support to Registered Midwives of the Northwest Territories Health and Social Services System. The incumbent will initially supervise three Registered Midwives, ultimately supervising up to 13 full-time midwives within three years. The position provides primary midwifery care, on a limited basis, in Yellowknife and other various sites in the Northwest Territories.

What you need:
A Bachelors in Midwifery, or assessed through a Prior Learning and Experience Assessment (PLEA) program within a Canadian province, and eligible for registration in the NWT. Must have a minimum of five (5) years’ experience as a primary midwifery care provider and five (5) years of management and supervisory experience.
