Understanding Contacts and Potential Contacts

Contacts
(RED)

Individuals at these locations  are considered contacts of someone who has COVID-19. Contacts and members of their households must isolate immediately for 14 days.

Contacts must get testing. Household members do not need testing unless they become symptomatic

Potential Contacts
(ORANGE)

Individuals at these locations are considered potential contacts of someone who has COVID-19. These individuals do not need to self-isolate but should be extra vigilant in their self-monitoring.

If symptoms develop, call public health or your local health centre to arrange for testing as soon as possible.

Not considered contacts (GREEN)

Based on testing results, the OCPHO has been able to calculate probability rates of exposure at the following locations. It has calculated a low enough probably that isolation or self-monitoring in relation to these locations is no longer necessary.
