Wildfire Details
Efforts continue to focus on structural protection – maintaining sprinklers on values along Highway 1 - and holding action from air and ground crews to prevent disruption to infrastructure (rail, road) as is possible.
The fire has been most active to the west of KM 48 of Highway 1 with some eastward growth towards the highway.
Poor visibility continues to challenge suppression efforts – most notably for air support. has not been possible today.Crews may be seen working close to the highway or railroad tracks on hot spots. Please use caution when driving nearby.
Smoke has been responsible for highway closures and may continue to impact visibility through the weekend.
