Fort Simpson – May 26, 2023
Public Service Announcement

Due to current weather conditions the Town of Fort Simpson has implemented a fire ban on open air fires within municipal boundaries.

Effective immediately and until further notice, a fire ban is now also in place for the Fort Simpson and Sambaa Deh Territorial Parks.

The fire bans at the Fred Henne and Yellowknife River Territorial Parks have been lifted.

The Department of Industry, Tourism and Investment reminds park users to remain cautious and ensure all fires are extinguished before leaving campsites.
