Bears are coming out of hibernation in the Northwest Territories. The Department of Environment and Climate Change is reminding everyone that avoiding bear encounters starts with you.

The Government of the Northwest Territories (GNWT) has entered into an agreement with the Freshwater Fish Marketing Corporation (FFMC) to operate the Northwest Territories’ (NWT) new fish processing facility in Hay River.
The Government of the Northwest Territories (GNWT) is hosting the Northern Premiers’ Forum in Inuvik from May 16 to 17, 2023. Premier of the Northwest Territories Caroline Cochrane, Premier of Yukon Ranj Pillai and Premier of Nunavut P.J. Akeeagok will be in attendance.
