YELLOWKNIFE (January 10, 2014) – The contract for the Northwest Territories’ largest infrastructure project is to be awarded to a company based in the territory.
I am pleased to be in Inuvik today to announce completion of the first Liquefied Natural Gas Project to be built in Canada’s North. This achievement marks the first of a number of successful conversions from diesel to natural gas generation in the Northwest Territories.
This is an important day for the Western Arctic, for the Northwest Territories, and for Canada.
