Mr. Speaker, we often talk about the people of the NWT as being our greatest resource. I think it’s fair to say that our Government of the Northwest Territories’ public service is made up of many of those remarkable people who dedicate themselves to public service.

Mr. Speaker, I am pleased to announce that the Government of the Northwest Territories and its Single Window Service Center model has been recognized for its innovative management by the Institute of Public Administration of Canada or known as IPAC.
Mr. Speaker, one of the aims of devolution was giving Northwest Territories residents the powers and authorities they need to turn Northern potential into prosperity for themselves and the country.
Mr. Speaker, our government is committed to creating prosperity for all our citizens and we recognize that residents of rural and remote communities have unique needs.
Mr. Speaker, I would like to take this opportunity to review with Members the history, intent and features of the Ministerial Travel Reports.
Today we remember a targeted attack on women at l’École Polytechnique de Montréal. This was a horrific act of violence, and we must all work together to ensure that this never happens again.
