Cabinet to host open houses in Norman Wells and Inuvik

NORMAN WELLS, NWT (April 13, 2016) – Residents in Norman Wells and Inuvik will have an opportunity to meet face-to-face with the Premier and all Ministers of the Government of the Northwest Territories Cabinet (GNWT) this week.

As part of its commitment to government openness and accessibility, the GNWT is hosting open houses in Norman Wells and Inuvik following bilateral meetings with Aboriginal governments being held in each community. The open houses are an opportunity for local residents to discuss their own issues and priorities directly with members of Cabinet in an informal setting meant to promote dialogue.

Residents in Norman Wells will have their opportunity to meet the Premier and Cabinet on the evening of April 13 from 7:00 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Legion Hall. The public meeting in Inuvik is scheduled for April 15 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Mackenzie Grill in the Mackenzie Hotel.
