Provides financial assistance to Northerners to help meet basic and enhanced needs.
Note: Staff travel to communities where no resident staff exist.
The program provides set amounts for food, shelter, and utilities, and for enhanced needs such as incidentals, clothing, allowances for seniors and persons with disabilities, furniture, and education assistance. Amounts are set based on household income, size of family and community of residency.
