Registration of a new business, whether temporary or permanent, with the Workers' Safety and Compensation Commission.
All employers doing business in the Northwest Territories, even temporarily, must register with the Workers' Safety and Compensation Commission within 10 days of commencing operations. This includes self-employed individuals. NEW - any qualified business, including start-ups and bidding operations, can now register and receive an account number prior to starting work or reporting payroll by filling out a New Employer Registration Form.
