Common in a variety of non-wooded habitats in a number of ecoregions. In NT, known only from Ft. Smith, but likely more widespread in the southwesternmost boreal region of NT, which is very poorly surveyed; Information to rank this species is unavailable, but there are no obvious reasons for concern. Insufficient occurrence records (0) were available, according to several sources including Barcode of Life Datasystems (2014) and Moth Photographers Group (2014).
