This species is abundant and widespread, and appears to be present in at least 30,000 km sq. in the Northwest Territories based on the distribution map for this species (fig. 2391) in Griffiths (2001). Range F was selected.

Number of Occurrences

This species is considered to be relatively abundant. Although it is generally associated with livestock dung, it is associated with other dung, and, in the northwest particularly, it is thought to be associated with the dung of ungulates (Griffiths 2001). As such, it appears to be widespread and abundant in the territory and >300 was selected.
