Habitat
Prefers moist sites, such as bogs, mires, and other peatlands, as well as riverbanks, seashores, grasslands, and even, in one case, a grassy cultivated field (Saaristo & Koponen 1998).

Siberian-Nearctic (Duperre 2013). Ranges from maritime Canada and Maine in the east to Alberta in the west (Saaristo & Koponen 1998). In the NWT, the species as been recorded from the Sahtu and from south of Tuktoyaktuk (Duperre 2013).

Number of Occurrences

There are two records of this species in the NWT: one at Involuted Hills south of Tuktoyaktuk (1980) and one from Lac Maunoir in the Sahtu Settlement Area, north of Great Bear Lake (1969) (Duperre 2013).
