Species appears to be able to tolerate a wide range of habitats/conditions in the Arctic (Saaristo & Koponen 1998).
Distribution

Distribution

Holarctic (Duperre 2013). Northeatern Canada, Greenland, Iceland, Jan Mayen Island, Spitsbergen, Novaya Zemlya, western Siberia, Chukotka, the Faroe Islands, the Fennoscandian mountains, Scotland, and the French, Swiss, and Tyrolean Alps (Saaristo & Koponen 1998). In the NWT, the species has only been confirmed from Banks Island (Loboda et al. 2013).

Number of Occurrences

Loboda et al. (2013) collected an unknown number of specimens from Banks Island, NWT. Saaristo & Koponen (1998) include several records attributed to the NWT, including from the Sanikiluaq (Belcher Islands) and Akpatok (Ungava Bay), both of which should be correctly attributed to Nunavut.
