Found on sand-mud bottoms, mostly in brackish waters with bottom temperatures mostly near to or below 0°C and salinities of 10-15 ppt. Feeds on small bottom invertebrates (W017). Benthic, shallows to 290m, eats crustaceans and worms (R131)
