Usually found near water where it lives under trash and objects on damp ground (Ivie 1969).
Distribution

Distribution

One of the most common species of the genus Bathyphantes in North America. In North America, it occurs all across Alaska, Canada, and the northern United States, extending south to a latitude of 34 degrees north, in high mountains (Ivie 1969). In the NWT, the species has been recorded from Norman Wells, Hay River, and Wood Buffalo National Park (Ivie 1969, Loboda et al. 2013, GBIF).

Number of Occurrences

There are a total of 53 records of this species in the NWT. Loboda et al. (2013) notes an unknown number of occurrences in Norman Wells. Ivie (1969) includes one record from Hay River from 1965 (one male and three females). GBIF includes a further 51 records, all from Wood Buffalo National Park. References: (1) Ivie, W. 1969.
