Habitat
In Maine, where the type specimen for this species originates (Leech 1972), individuals were commonly found in deep deciduous leaf litter, and were most easily obtained in numbers by either pitfall or Berlese funnel methods. Distribution

Distribution

Nova Scotia and Newfoundland west to British Columbia, north to the western part of the NWT. Known only from Maine, Minnesota, and Wisconsin in the United States. In Canada, the species has been recorded from Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Quebec, Saskatchewan, and the NWT. In the NWT, records are from the Great Slave Lake area, Wrigley, and Enterprise (Leech 1972). Reference: Leech, R. 1972. A revision of the Nearctic Amaurobiidae (Arachnida: Araneida). Number of Occurrences

Three occurrences have been reported for the NWT: (1) Deep Bay, Great Slave Lake, (2) Wrigley, (3) 40 miles northwest of Enterprise (Leech 1972), and (4) at Norman Wells (Lobodo et al. 2013).
