Habitat
wide variety of moist habitats, but specimens are most frequently taken from moist Alnus or Salix litter, usually near the edge of streams, lakes, or ponds. Other adults were collected from floating flood debris, from terrestrial bird nests, or Microtus nests, or by treading emergent vegetation (especiallyclumps of Carex) into the water. Most specimens were collected in June or July but a few were taken as early as April or as late as August
