Status Rank Description: 
This flea is a parasite of snowshoe hare (Lepus townsendii). Records are mostly from northern NT and Slave Lake, but the range of its host extends though the entire territory. Since this flea is also found in YT and AK, it is not unreasonable to expect the range of this flea in the territory to be much greater than currently known. Additional collecting effort is needed before an accurate rank can be assigned to this species
