Female Age at Maturity

Wiehle (1931) found mature males from spring to autumn in Germany, but autumn populations appeared to consist mainly of juveniles (Dondale et al. 2003).
Habitat
May be common on buildings or bridges, particularly those closely surrounded by coniferous trees. Similar to L. cornutus (Dondale et al. 2003).

Alaska to Newfoundland, south to California and southern Texas; Europe and Asia. In the NWT, the species has been recorded from most regions of the territory (Dondale et al. 2003, GBIF).

Ten total occurrences in the NWT, including one from Inuvik, one in the Fort Good Hope area, one on the south shore of Great Bear Lake, four in Yellowknife, one in Fort Resolution, one in the area of the Thelon Game Sanctuary near the NWT-Nunavut border, and one near the NWT-Saskatchewan border (Dondale et al. 2003, GBIF).
