PRISM population estimate = 3,688, based on surveys that cover most of range in NWT (BCR 3 region of mainland), so this may be an accurate estimate (interim Arctic PRISM shorebird results (up to 2009) provided by H306 But pop est in A380 for North American pop = 500,000 and approx 1/7 range in NWT; so pop could be approx 70,000.
