Status Rank Description:
See rank for L. lagopus - ;FNA & VASCAN only list L. lagopus for NWT, L. clavatum distribution is more southern. L. clavatum doesn't exist in NWT (L. clavatum is southern, L. lagopus is northern). The confusion probably lies with L. lagopus previously considered a variety of L. clavatum which might have erroneously suggested that L. clavatum was present in NWT previously.
Decision Process Description:
Secure by E. Haber in 2003 (H150). Undetermined by S. Carriere due to taxonomic uncertainty in 2004.; Reviewed in 2010; no change; Deleted from NT based on FNA (2014)
