Habitat
The plants were sporadic on the periodically flooded shore of the Hay River at Hay River. A native species, it often occurs in disturbed sites and is sometimes thought to be an introduction, but on the periodically flooded shoreline it occurred with a diversity of native species in one of its characteristic natural habitats.
