One rare occurrence of SPEI on Bank's Island, NT recorded by Manning et al. 1956 (see Dau and Kitchinski 1977), One sight record of a male with King Eiders on the Sachs River, Banks Island, on 20 June 1952 (Manning et al. 1956). Unfortunately, no description of the bird is included in the account. This record is included in Godfrey’s Birds of Canada.(NWT Bird checklist project)
