Status Rank Description:
Data deficient. This generalist flea infests many species of small mammals and is among the most widely spread and abundant fleas in North America. The range and number of occurrences are likely a reflection of insufficient collecting effort rather than its true abundance. Though it is at the northern limit of its range in NT, climate change may result in wider distribution. More information is required before an accurate rank can be assigned to this species in NT.
