There are no known records for this species from NT in examined Canadian collection databases (Lepitzki 2013) yet Clarke's (1981: 197) range map extends in a triangle from the AB border to W of Great Slave Lake. NT is also included in the species' Canadian range by Johnson et al. (2013).

Status Rank Description:
- no detailed on records from NT.Clarke (1973: 423) lists Segmentina (Planorbula) christyi Dall, 1905 as a synonym for Planorbula campestris. There were no records of P. campestris from NT (see my 2014 GS extraction) in the databases I had access too, including CMN but Clarke's (1973: 425) map for the species does include some dots west of Great Slave Lake, some of which could correspond to Whittaker collections. CMN however, does have a record (CMNML 021116) for Planorbula armigera by G. J. Whitaker from August 1921 from "Mackenzie R, 30 Mi Above Ft Providence: Beaver Lake" which could be a duplicate for the record (at Illinois Natural History Society)...although it was identified as a different species and the first initial of the collector is different. Both Beaver Lake and Little Lake are stated in the distribution for P. armigera in Clarke (1973: 421).So this (species) should be Status Undetermined, until more work is done.(email from D Lipitzki 29/09/2016)
