Aiken et al 1999 onwards at www.mun.ca/biology/delta/arcticf/_ca/www/sxsxfl.htm include Saxifraga platysepala as S. flagellaris ssp. platysepala. S. flagellaris then also occurs on Banks Island, and Melville Is in NT within the Northern Arctic ecozone. Status remains secure. Kartezx 1999, however, recognizes S. platysepala as a distinct species. If this is generally agreed upon then S. platysepala would be a new entry for NT that has a restricted distribution with a small number of occurrences and is found in one ecozone. It could be considered to be sensitive.
