Status Rank Description:
Regional distribution with medium number of occurrences mapped in B003 and present in several ecozones, however, only 3 collections seen in Ottawa herbaria (H154). However, need to verify which species is in the NWT. M Anions (2006) says that S. palustris is reported for NWT for the Wild Species 2005 Project as Secure Explorer lists both species for NWT but references that all varieties previously included in S. palustris are now treated in S. pilosa. Both are valid species. Both species may occur in NWT as both are reported for AK and BC. However Bruce only reports pilosa as Undetermined for YT.
