Distribution

Moderately common. Although only two locations are documented in the NWT, species is widespread in Canada and more locations are likely. Previously its northern limit was considered to be Fort McMurray in Alberta, 400 km to the southeast (Catling 2008, Catling et al. 2018). References: (1) Catling, P. M. 2008. Number of Occurrences

Catling (2008) documents one occurrence in the NWT, although given widespread range in boreal Canada, more occurrences are likely. At that time, it was found in a fen east of Kakisa River on the south side of Great Slave Lake where it occurred with Stethophyma lineatum and Chorthippus curtipennis. A second occurrence was recorded at Norman Wells during a 2017 Bioblitz (Catling et al. 2018). This represents a range extension of 700 km northwest from its previously recorded occurrence.
