DAO-0; CAN-6 Recognized as present in NT in NatureServe but not shown north of MB and SK in Kartesz 1999. Specimens at CAN annotated by aster specialist John Semple in 1982 (H156); Two sites found in 2003 on the periodically flooded shore of Hay River at Hay River and at the port of Hay River. At least 100 plants were seen and they had either white or blue ray flowers, 30 July 2003, 60.4900 -115.4700, 30 July 2003, 60.8214 -115.7304 (R147); First reported by Thieret (1963) from Alexandra Falls (R190); Ft Simpson, s of campground, silt bank on point N of confluence of Mac Ri and Liard R Semple & Cli-Michaud 11171; S of Liard R cause way, creek along steep read embankment S of Liard R. Semple & Cli-Michaud 11176 (A152)
