Rare visitor. Occurs nearly annually, especially in the Fort Liard and Fort Simpson areas in the southwest. Also reported at Fort Smith, Yellowknife, Wrigley, and Norman Wells. Almost all records are from May and June; (NWT Bird checklist project)

At least 20 records in NWT: Records from: Fort Smith, Fort Liard, Fort Simpson, and Yellowknife (1988-2005), Occurs nearly annually, especially in the Fort Liard and Fort Simpson areas in the southwest.
