An inspection within Hearne Pit at the Gahcho Kue Mine was conducted on September 5th, 2018 by the GNWT Department of Lands Inspector. It appears the spill has been properly cleaned up and the hydrocarbon impacted rock has been disposed of at the Type 3 zone on the West Mine Rock Pile. Inspector recommends closer of NT-NU Spill-2018285.
