Nunavut Excavating, who constructed the berm cell and had attempted to repair the leaky berm, took water from a nearby water source and pumped it into the sewage lagoon cell to see if the repair attempt had been successful. However, the berm is still leaking so it is expected that the estimated 500,000 litres of water that was pumped into the sewage lagoon cell. *Perhaps the term "sewage" isn't the correct terminology - the material filled is water that has passed through a sewage lagoon.

Attached are two maps showing where the spill originates and the directions of the flow Also, I was just advised that the contractors that are to repair the berm are in the community and will be wanting to decant the remainder of the contents of the damaged cell. I would assume that they are required to fill out a form to send to you regarding the decanting as opposed to the spill. Louis M.
