The contaminated soil from the spill area was excavated and transferred into eight, 1 cubic meter mega bags and brought to the Tsiigehtchic ferry camp for temporary storage prior to being shipped to an approved disposal facility. The area of contamination was updated based off the amount of contaminated soil removed from the site which equated to 22 square meter area. The location was also updated to identify the excavated area.
